State of Georgia, Marion County: This indenture, Made the 25th day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred ninety one between W. T. Melton of the county of Marion of the one part and Matthew Melton of the County of Marion of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said W. T. Melton for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained,
sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said Matthew Melton, his heirs and assigns all of my town lot in the town of Buena Vista, GA, off of Lot No (109) in the 4th District of said County, containing one half acre more or less measuring one hundred and five feet front more or less on Boker Street and two hundred and ten feet deep bounded as follows on the north by S. W. DeWolf's lot, on West by Stokes, Singleton and Peacock lot on South lot of T. G.  Nelson and J. E. Moon and on East by Baker Street.  To have and to hold the said bargained premises with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereto appertaining to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of party of the second part his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in Fee Simple and the said party of the first part the said bargained premises unto the said party of the second part heirs executors, administrators and assigns against the said
party of the first part his heirs, executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents.  In Witness whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand, affixed his seal, and delivered there presents the day and year first above written.  W. Written: October 4, 1895;  Recorded: November 15, 1895
State of Georgia, Marion County.  This indenture made the 4 day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred ninety five between J. A. Weaver of the one part and B. F. Grimes of the County of Marion of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said J. A. Weaver for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, assign and confirm unto the said B. F. Grimes his heirs and assigns south half of lot 65 in block "B" in the town of Buena Vista Georgia bounded as follows on East by Broad Street on north by other half of said lot on south by lot on which Bill McCrory Black Smith Shop is situated on west by lot of Anderson Taylor.  To have and hold the said premises with all and singular rights and members and appurtances thereunto appertaining to the only proper use and benefit and behoof him B. F. Grimes heirs executors and assigns in fee simple; and the said J. A. Weaver the said bargained premises unto the said B. F. Grimes heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, against the said J. A. Weaver heirs, executors, and
administrators and against all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents.  In witness whereof the said J. A. Weaver has hereunto set set his hand affixed his seal and delivered these presents the day and year first above written.  J. A. Weaver. Signed and sealed and delivered in presence of us: Jas. M. Book P.  Written: November 18, 1895; Recorded: November 19, 1895
State of Georgia, Marion County: This indenture made the 18 November in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred ninety five between Mathew Melton of the one part and Caroline Melton of the County of Marion of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Mathew Melton for and in consideration of the sum of the love and affection in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and
confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey, and confirm unto the said Cairoline(sic) Melton her heirs and assigns the following described property to wit all of lot of land no 238, all of lot 237, 150 acres of lot 239, 100 acres of lot 211, all of lot no 212, all of lot no 213, 196 acres of lot no 215, 27 acres of lot 234, 10 acres of lot no 214, 10 acres of lot 235, 90 acres of lot no 238, 33 acres of 214, 160 acres of lot 234, all in the 5th Distrist of said county, also my house and lot in the town of Buena Vista it being the property I bought from Joe J. Dunhouser(?) the said land above is bounded as follows on the north by land of Wm. Boiynton on the East by Julia Melton and O.C. Bullock and Ch. H. McCall and R. - Clements on the South by R. E. Clements, H. B. Holcher it being the entire property owned for the last --- at years by Mathew Melton also mules that --- on my farms also on horse that I drive to my buggy they being all the horses and mules I own.  To have and to hold the said bargained premises with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtanences thereto appertaining to the only proper use, benefit and behoof the said Caroline Melton her heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, in fee simple; and the said Mathew Melton the said bargained premises unto the said Caroline Melton her heirs, executors, and assigns and against all and every
other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these presents.   In witness whereof the said Mathew Melton has hereunto set his hand, affixed his seal and delivered these presents the day and year first above written.  Mathew (his X mark) Melton.  Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of us: J. C. Jackson, Jos J. Dunhorn, Ordy.  Filed for record Nov 19, 1895, 10am, recorded Nov 19, 1895. (Caroline Melton was Mathew Melton's second wife. She was Caroline Weaver, they married 28 March 1869, Marion County, GA (she was born 27 April 1838, GA, died April 12, 1927, Marion County GA).  She is buried at Union Baptist Church Cemetery along with Mathew, his first wife and Caroline's mother Nellie Weaver (1815-1880).  Caroline married second to a Worthen.  Mathew died 7 May 1897, with no probate that I have found.  This deed must have been in the way of his settlement of estate before his death.  Please contact me if you are related to Matthew Melton's first marriage.  There were no known children from the second marriage)
