Special Pardon 1865

To His Excellency Andrew Johnson, President of the United States.

The petition of the undersigned respectfully sheweth to your Excellency that I am included in your amnesty Proclamation issued at Washington City on the 29th day of May 1865.  In Section 1st and 13th your petitioner avers that he had never been guilty of any act of treason or been under arrest and that there is not now any warrant against him or any legal proceedings whatsoever.  He therefore prays and asks for your Excellency's pardon.
