Douglas/Douglass and Yates I am researching these surnames. I found what I believe to be my g-g-g-frandfather Seaborn Douglass, who was on the 1820 Emanuel County, GA census. He was right by Burrell Yates. I also found a land record in Appling County, GA that was Seaborn Douglass' and Burrell Yates witness it. They both own land in Appling County right by each other. Also they were together in Hamilton County, FL in 1830. Served together in the same militia unit in the Florida Indian war between 1836 and 1840. Seaborn's son Burrell Douglass was my g-g-grandfather. Does anyone know how Seaborn Douglass and Burrell Yates are connected with each other. Submitted by David Douglas

Hall, Johnson & Sherrod – submitted by Cecile Kennedy.  My search is for the parents of Eveline Hall (born abt 1862 in Emanuel Co, GA. Eveline married Joseph Lanier Johnson abt 1878. Joe was born in 1856 to Benjamin (son of Rowan Johnson and Sarah ??) and Benetta Sherrod Johnson (dau of Benjamin and Berneator Sherrod). I cannnot find anything on Eveline/Evaline to give me a hint as to who her parents are. Anyone have an Eveline that they can't place?
