I W Benson, applied for Pension, 1907.  Has lived in Marion County GA his whole life.  Was born Sept 1847, Marion County, Georgia.  Enlisted at Buena Vista, 1863, in Co D, 6th Georgia Militia until close of War.  He is earning nothing at present, a farmer.  He is 60 years old, and has rheumatism, problems with both eyes and a weak constitution.  Owns no property.  Has wife, and 17 year old daughter (daughter has been clerking, earning about $10).  Applied for pension before but was refused. Witnesses are J - Green and J F Rushin.  Physicians: W A Drane MD and M D Hollis, MD.  Patient is infirm, has chronic bronchitis, rheumatism, very feeble.  I W Benson married Mrs M E Benson, 1 Nov 1866, Marion County GA (per her application).  Marriage license for Whit Benson to M E (Martha E., my notes) Wall, 30 October 1866, Marion County GA, married 1 Nov 1866, Marion County GA per County Ordinary record.    I W Benson died 26 June 1933.  Mrs. M E Benson, widow of I W Benson, applies for continuation of his pension, 1933.   

Mrs. M E Benson, widow of I W Benson, Marion County Georgia.  Letter dated July 3, 1933, that the widow is going to maker her home in Schley County Georgia with a daughter.
