Statement of O P Carswell, dated 25 March 1928. Formerly of Marion County GA, and member of Co A, 6th GA Reserve force, an applicant for pension under the Laws of the State of Texas. Reserve Force was called out by the Governor in July 1864, embraced all males over 16 and under 55. Officers of company: Co A, Cap James Wiggins of Marion County, first year: Wily Melton, Second year: Elija Tharp. Regimental Col: George of Muscogee County. Regimental Major: Miller of Marion County. Brigade General: Philips of Muscogee County.
