Nathaniel Wright Jarrett (MAR.23,1825-APR 2,1886)
Was the Section Foreman of the Georgia Railroad near Stone Mountain before the Civil War. He came to Gordon County in 1837. He was captured during the Civil War within one mile of his home near Sanoraville, GA. by the Yankees and was carried to Indiana. He sent for his wife and children who came to him on a one-horse wagon. they lived in Indiana four years then returned to Gordon County, GA. and was living there in the 1870 Census. He is Buried in Bartow County, GA at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cemetery, Ranger, Gordon County, GA. John Franklin Jarrett is buried at the East View Cemetery in Adairsville, GA. Columbus, George and
Robert are buried in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Bartow County, Adairsville, GA.
This picture is restored and accounts for Columbus' eye not looking right. The Inscription on the back notes the Sons identity as above. The
picture as well as the one above it of "Old Nate" was in Dr. Ken Jarrett's Family who descends from George Thomas Jarrett in the picture above. In "Old Nate's Picture he appears to have a growth on the left side of his neck but that is water
damage. The Picture was restored.
Nathaniel Wright Jarrett also affectionately called "Old Nate" also had two Daughters Roxie
Anna Jarrett 1861-1915 and Katherine W. Jarrett about which little is known.
