J. McLean appears at Chimbirazo Hospital No. 2, Admitted March 19, 1863;
Diagnosis: Chronic Diarrhea; Died April 7, 1863;
 

Joseph Miller McLean was the oldest son of John McLean & Rebecca Cavender, born in Fayette County on 04 Nov 1832.  Joseph married Mildred Ann Alford on 04 August 1860 in Upson County.  They had one daughter, Theodocia McLean before he joined the CSA.  Joseph died in Richmond, VA on 07 Apr 1863, according to the minutes of Gaulding Masonic Lodge.
