OLD EBENEZER METHODIST CHURCH CEMETERY. The oldest church in Haralson Co. The present Ebenezer Church is located on Lot #126 on 3 acres of land donated by E S Howell 30 Aug 1883 ("Haralson County Georgia, A History" by Lois Owens Newman) |
This location was the burial ground for twenty plus years for the Ebenezer Methodist Church (from 1847- 1883). Today it is overgrown by trees and underbrush. There are many graves marked with stones and others that are indicated only by sunken ground. One grave has a stone wall around it but no marker. It can be seen from the Bethany Church and is in the right-of-way for the powerline. |
