History

Ware County has changed slightly through the years.

Parent and Children County of Ware

Georgia was a British Colony. In 1824, Ware County was formed from Appling County. In 1818, Appling County formed in 1818 from land ceded by the Creek Indians in the Treaty of Fort Jackson in 1814 and the Treaty of the Creek Agency in 1818.
