Andrews, Jim Henry Sr.
SYLVESTER Jim Henry Andrews Sr., 66, of Albany
died Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The
funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with
interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Grady Morey will officiate.
Born April 13, 1940, in Worth County to Grace
Hobby Andrews and James Clovis Andrews, Mr. Andrews had lived in Worth
and Dougherty Counties all of his life. He was the owner and operator of
Kitty's Flea Market. He was a former farmer, who also operated Pap's
Fried Chicken, Jim's Bar B Que and Seafood, The Magnolia restaurant and
was in partnership with the operators of The Fireside restaurant. He
also was the former owner of the Road Runner convenience store. He was a
member of the Rocky Mt. Baptist Church. Survivors include his son,
daughter, brothers, companion, and grandchildren. Other survivors
include, the mother of their children, and a number of nieces, nephews
and cousins.

William Morris Barbee
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. -
William Morris Barbee, 78, of Travelers Rest passed away Sunday evening,
October 1, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Sumner, GA, he
was a son of the late Archie Lovett and Ruth Haman Barbee. Mr. Barbee
was retired from the United States Navy having served 22 years. He
worked in area
textiles and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is his wife,
Lorene Parker Barbee; two sons, Ronald Barbee and wife, Janet and David
Barbee and wife, Ruth; six daughters, Mary Carman and husband,
Steve, Diane Heustess
and husband, Richard, Donna Shain, Rita Brown and husband, C. Anthony,
Christine McCloud and husband, John and Ruth Epps and husband, Allan; 11
grandchildren; a sister, Vera Howell of Ty Ty; three brothers, Roy S.
Barbee of Leesburg, Frank Barbee of Sylvester and Curtis Barbee of
Tifton; and many
loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside services
will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at Sumner Cemetery in Sumner,
GA.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m.
until 8:30 p.m. today at The Howze Mortuary Chapel.

Bolton, Doris
SYLVESTER Doris Bolton, 79, of Sylvester, GA, died Tuesday, June 19,
2001, at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow in Floral Memory
Gardens. Dr. Ron Baxley will officiate. A native of Mitchell County,
Mrs. Bolton had lived in Worth County for the past four years. She was
retired from Coats and Clark after 35 years of service. Her husband,
Cecil L. Bolton, preceded her in death on September 2, 2000. She is
survived by three daughters, one son, 11 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren. The family is at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Laramore, 328 Martindale Road, Albany, GA, and will receive friends
today at Kimbrell-Stern from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Those desiring may

Emma Lee Bozeman
SYLVESTER — Emma Lee Bozeman, 102, formerly of
Sylvester, GA, and current resident of Southern Care Assisted Living of
Tifton, GA, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Tift Regional Hospital in
Tifton.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 12
at 11 a.m. at Isabella Baptist Church in Sylvester, with the Revs. Al
Wilbourn and Jason Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Isabella
Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 p.m.-8
p.m. today (Monday) at Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester.
Mrs. Bozeman was preceded in death by her
husband, Marion Wingard Bozeman, who died July 29, 1971. They were
married December 10, 1933 in Isabella, GA.
Mrs. Bozeman lived in
Worth County her entire life. She was born January 29, 1906 to Thomas
Jefferson Jones and Susan Elizabeth Story Jones in Arabi, GA. Her
parents preceded in death. Also preceding her in death were two sisters,
Rennie Elizabeth Jones Shiver and Eula Jones McCrary and one brother,
Floyd Jones, all of Sylvester; half-brothers, Arthur Augustus Jones of
Waycross, Julius Jefferson Jones of Doles; and two half-sisters, Nina
Pearl Jones Campbell of Sylvester, and Ruby Mae Jones Adair of Americus.
Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Bozeman
Brown (Blake) of Sylvester; a son, O’Neal Bozeman (Connie) of Tifton;
granddaughters, Anne Brown Williams
of Byron, and Marci Bozeman of Atlanta; a
grandson, Stuart Bozeman of Bethlehem; one great-grandson, Robert Eunice
of Athens; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
She had formerly
worked at Houston Peanut Company and was also a practical nurse a number
of years.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was an
active member of Isabella Baptist Church. She was known to family and
friends as a loving, nurturing, gentle person who loved to cook, sew,
and keep a neat home. She was deeply devoted to her church, Isabella
Baptist Church. She helped clean her church every week for 37 years
until June 2007. She was a member of the W.G. Paul Sunday School Class
and the W.M.U.

SYLVESTER Ruby Woodrum Calhoun, 84, of 1011 N.
Isabella St., Sylvester, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at South Fulton
Hospital in Atlanta. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Banks
Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Dr.
Tom Jacobs will officiate. A native of Irwin County, Mrs. Calhoun had
lived in Sylvester since 1965. She was a licensed practical nurse who
was employed with Worth County Hospital for many years. She was a member
of First Baptist Church and the Bykota Sunday School Class. She was the
widow of William Hilton Calhoun. Survivors include two daughters,
sister, brother, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family
will receive friends from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Eddie H. Champion
ALBANY — The funeral
service of Eddie H. Champion, 81, of 137 Pineview Drive, Leesburg, who
died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at his residence, will be conducted
today (Monday) at 3 p.m. at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. The Revs.
Charlie Brown and Curtis Champion will officiate. Interment will follow
in Floral Memory Gardens.
A native of Worth
County, Mr. Champion had resided in Albany all of his adult life before
moving to Leesburg. He was a retired truck driver with Georgia Highway
Express, a Veteran of World War II serving in the Air Force and a member
of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two wives,
Garland Lee Champion and Jewell Herren Champion, his parents, Charlie
and Alma White Champion and three brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include
three sons, Larry Champion and wife, Regina, of Lee County, Kevin L.
Champion and wife, Leslie, and Glenn H. Champion, all of Duluth, GA; two
sisters, Gladys Bush of Sylvester and Linnie Sumner of Ray City, GA;
five grandchildren, Maria Berg, Layne Champion, Kayla McCallum, Charlie
Champion and Kristi Champion; and two great-grandchildren, Courtney
Allen and Morgan Berg.

SYLVESTER Evelyn Bryan Clark, 88, of Sylvester
died Tuesday, September 11, 2001, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Banks Funeral Chapel with
interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Smith and the Rev.
Dexter Wilson will officiate. A native of Tift County, Mrs. Clark had
lived in Worth County since 1949. She was a homemaker. She was the widow
of Thomas Everett Clark Sr. who preceded her in death March 30, 1982.
Her parents were the late Sanders Bryan and Lula Belle Willis Bryan
Marchant. She was a member of Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, two sisters, two
brothers, 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great
grandchildren. The family will receive friends today from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m.
at the funeral home.
