Orders 1795-99, 25 February 1799, Instrument of writing emancipating Patty a negro woman belonging to Matthew Merchant was acknowledged.

p.339, 24 June 1799, Instrument of writing emancipating Negro slave named Betty the property of William Williams was acknowledged.

Orders 1799-1803, p.122, 27 October 1800, writing of Emancipation a negro boy named Fleming Henry was acknowledged by Benjamin Johnson.

p.136, 26 January 1801, Instrument of emancipation certain slaves of Nicholas Johnson acknowledged.

Orders 1803-6, p.28, 23 August 1803, petition of Lucy a mulattoe setting forth tht she is entitled to her freedom by Deed of Emancipation from William Early. Summons issue against John Quarles, guardian of Patsey Jane Early.

p.103, Lucy a free Negro v. Early's administrator. Jury for plaintiff. Will signed 8 July 1792.

p.314, 25 March 1806, negro boy named Tom, son of Harry formerly liberated by Abner Earley, be bound by the overseers of the poor to Lemuel Mitchell.

p.327, 29 April 1806, Charles Gwatkins & Thomas Logwood be appointed guardians for George, Milly, Pleasant, Caleb, Anne, Braxton, Sophia, James, Hannah, Washington & Flanders, negros under the age of 21 years liberated by Thomas Haynes, deceased, for the purpose of prosecuting any suit or suits which may be initiated in their name against the Heirs or next of kin of the said Haynes.
