p.537, 3d day 8th month 1789, Jonathan Pleasants deed of emancipation to Ben (19), Jacob (17), Selah (15). recorded 15 October 1789.

Deed Book 1792-1800, p.214, Thomas Harris emancipate Rachel(27), and two children Wilson (3) and Judith (1).

p.215, 17 October 1795, I Thomas Wilson set free Lucinda a small mulatto girl daughter of Hannah about 5 years old.

Orders 1791-4, p.87, 16 March 1792, Peter F. Archer emancipate Lewis a male slave.

p.409, 17 April 1801, Jack Bows a negro lad in the possession of Robert Craig who perceives he is in the sale of the estate of Charles Logan is entitled to his freedom by virtue of a decree of the High Court of Chancery pursuant to the will of John Pleasants, decd.

Orders 1802-4, p.320, 22 July 1803, deed of emancipation from Elizabeth Hickman (a free African American) to her husband Tim former ly the property of Littleberry Mosby.
